In the wake of the legalization of pot in the states, thousands planned to gather and celebrate the changes. The event, which is going to take place as part of the unofficial counter culture holiday to celebrate cannabis in the states of Washington and Colorado, will welcome hundreds of thousands of out-of-staters and tourists too. Part of the event,  activists lighted up the streets of Denver’s Civic Center Park. The city also staged its first open-to-all Cannabis Cup, an American version of the yearly cannabis completion and festival in Amsterdam. The event was decided to be ticked and celebrity guests like Snoop Lion took part.
